March 24, 25 and 26, 2017 are the dates that you need to mark in your diary if you are to be part of the most fantastic showcase of young jumping horses, young dressage horses and ponies, young event horses and FEI Dressage classes from Prix St Georges through to Grand Prix and a Freestyle to music under lights.

With the inclusion of young event horses in this year’s program, the 2017show will be the biggest and best yet, and sees history in the making!  There is something for everyone, and a great opportunity for each of the disciplines to introduce their stars of the future to a broader audience.

Since the inception of Dressage with the Stars 19 years ago, this event has gone from strength to strength with an innovative, exciting, and educational program.  For many professional trainers and the most dedicated hobbyists, qualifying for a start at D&JWTS is their annual goal achieved, and a win or place sets up a bright future and international recognition.

A Saddleworld spokesperson said, “We are very proud to again be bringing the D&JWTS dressage and jumping Masterclasses to Australian enthusiasts as we know that seeing the world’s best horse people at work has guided many local riders, and they have gone on to prove themselves and their horses.  The positive year-on-year improvement that has come about after three days of young horse assessments along with the expert commentary, and the training hints shared at the Saddleworld Masterclass has provided invaluable knowledge and the tools to improve riders, trainers, and horses.  The past Saddleworld Masterclasses have shaped Australian equestrian sport, and we know that this flow on effect will continue to influence the future!”

  D&JWTS

The early days of this event were challenging, as the riders and trainers had very little help to prepare, and looking back, the basic training mostly fell short of international standards.

Australian riders, trainers and performance horse breeders have appreciated the support and interest of the main name sponsor, PSI as their guidance and expertise in the development of young horses, has steered huge improvement in the way we select and start young competition horses.  In the modern era, Australia can be proud of producing young horses that are equal to the best in the world … and the world is taking notice, making Australia a source of equine talent for the best riders and the most prestigious events.
