Winners are Grinners – Saddleworld Competition Announcements

Competition Winners

In the lead up to Christmas 2015, Saddleworld stores ran two exciting competitions – Win a Trainer’s Master Series Saddle of your choice valued at $1995.00, and all Saddleworld customers had to do was fill in an entry form in store, to go into the draw.

Then the exciting Saddle Cash Back Offer, which gave lucky saddle buyers the opportunity to win the value of their saddle purchase back (to the value of $5,000). This was a very popular competition for those in the market for a new saddle.

All Saddleworld stores throughout Australia reported enthusiastic interest from their customers, and some new faces who had received a “word of mouth” recommendation to visit their local store and put in an entry.

Saddleworld thanks everyone for their interest and participation and are now delighted make the following announcements.

Saddleworld media spoke with Phillip Rayner (right) from Tasmania who put his “win a Trainer’s saddle” entry in at the Saddleworld Cambridge Park store.   He told of his quite recent return to riding after a 15-year break.

Phillip explained that horses were part of his life from an early age as he had enthusiastic and knowledgeable parents who both rode and encouraged his participation.  He recalled taking part at the Hobart Royal Show on his show pony when he was about 5 years old.  Phillip said, “I had speech and learning difficulties as a child and riding with RDA helped me with confidence, making friends and having an interest that I was able to do well and join in with the family.

“In 1985, I rode at the “Special Olympics” in Launceston, and a very special highlight in my life was meeting Princess Anne in 1989 when she was a special guest at a RDA event which was held at Kingston in Tasmania.”

“ I have had a long break from riding and took it up again about 1 year ago when I bought my 11yo Thoroughbred horse “Enclosure” (stable name Jezebel).   I have had lots of involvement and helpful advice from the staff at Saddleworld Cambridge Park, they have been so supportive, making sure that I have bought the right equipment for my horse.  I am taking lessons from Cheryl Green and we are doing well.  We went to our first show at Dodgers Ferry in January 2016 and I am expecting to make great progress now that I have my new Trainer’s Saddle.”

“I want to thank Saddleworld Cambridge Park for encouraging me to enter the competition, as this prize means the world to me, thanks heaps!”
